if it was a memorial i’m okay, but it being held on the would be birthday just felt kinda weird.

I agree with Deltic, I think it is a nice idea. Would it help you to think of it as a memorial celebration of that person’s life rather than a party.

I think it is a nice idea, I would be happy to go it is a nice way of remembering the person, but if you are uncomfortable with the idea don’t go.
