How do you keep black ants away from flower pots? They keep digging and spoiling my plants.

try mixing borax[powered laundry detergent]with equal amounts of white sugar.place it around the bottom of the pots and they wont come near it.its also safe to use around the house.the ants take it back to there nest and they die.

Have you tried placing Cinnamon sticks in the area?
Its a natural repellent, and you can put it right in the soil of your pot, no problem.
