At what time period are you speaking of? I say forget the past and Make Today the Good day! Do what Jesus did and Love your neghbors whether they deserve it or not. Love your enemies whether you feel like it or not. Get right with your family and forgive them. Love is not based on feelings, but Love is the action of doing what is right and helpful for others more than self – the good feelings come after the good actions.

i believe we shape our own destiny with the choices we make.
it’s good that you try to help others despite your own problems – it says alot about you.
i understand that you want to sort your own problems out but in your previous post it seemed like you wanted help yourself.

I mostly come in to maybe help, maybe make a difference? Reading about others problems help to keep mine in perspective, I have learned to depend on no one else for my answers. :) Which may be why I have so many problems of my own.:)—- Life is to live. However it is played out… Your born…..You live (with freewill!) than you die however your meant to I believe. I read about people wanting to take their own lives and it makes me think of all the other people who have no choice….They are on death row by fate and if they were asked they would more than like trade places with the ones that can’t take anymore. I’m sorry i am in a strange mood today….don’t pay any attention to me maybe I will be more social tomorrow. Have a good day.

there’s still some of us about, i’m 38 and was brought up with respect, morals and a good set of values oh and manners.
TV, games and the media are ruining the world and causing much psychological distress.
we need to pull together and fight it.

I have some home training, being homeschooled. And here I am to offer advice after some random bored Googleing with I’m Feeling Lucky! brought me here.

My grandmother was once told by a ‘modern child behaviorist’ or something that she shouldn’t have spanked my uncle…he had run out into the road without looking. Apparently the man felt that her spanking him was teaching him violence to a greater degree than being flattened by a truck would have.

I know there are people that dont believe in spanking and I am here to tell ya a fricken time out dont work. I call discipline Wall to wall counseling bounce them off one wall and into the next till they learn! sounds worse than it is but it works.
I always told my kids to fear God second, cause I am right behind them and will bust their ass alot faster.

I know Chesty! Not a day goes by that doesnt confuse me when it comes to interaction in society today it is nothing like it was 35 years ago I can tell you that!

Hey now that was just rude LOL! When I was coming up we all looked out for each other I am still that way cause I came up that way some people have never been there and dont understand it at all. we even help people we dont like just because we know that is what they need and hopefully they will learn. I am glad I grew up needy and in that era I appreciate everything I have and know to look out for my neighbors and they seem to be still learning but they are getting it slowly I have only lived here a year.

We are still out there Miss just few and far between now, people are mostley out for themselves now I remember when it was not that way and life WAS better!

I just carried a load of groceries over to some elderly folks..and i’m going down to pay their light bill..they don’t know it and I’ll never tell them I did it..I’m not “old school” or new school…but right is right…and this I can do..old fellow told me one day that when you’re in the middle of a hurricane you can’t tell how big it is..you’re too busy trying to keep from drowning…just sayin…

That’s the way it is down here…but we fight and laugh, and care for one another..I won’t have it any other way. and the kids all know this..from the youngest who is 3 to the oldest who 35….cause..my wife said so..

LOL Mom I think I love you, That is so true isnt it! I am old school as well and was brought up that way myself. I have a good group of friends and we dont keep count of who did what for whom They call I go I call they come as a matter of fact I entered this answer on a friends PC after I fixed it 215.00 job for anyone else I wont get payment and dont expect payment our friendship is payment enough for me.
